BORRRRED!!!!

No, we are not turning into sloths, like the Madwoman keeps saying
(Huh! She can talk.)
The reason we are taking it easy is because
Archie is on bed rest again as he has split a web between the toes on a back paw.
So no zoomies, nor even a sedate stroll round the Open Air Museum today.
Please send healing thoughts as we are bored already.
Better still, send healing thoughts AND roast turkey and gravy bones!

On our holidays

Belated Easter bleatings to you all!
We took a holiday from blogging in order to spend as much time as possible doing

snoozing

tennis ball chasing

zooming

more snoozing

lurking under the table waiting for Grandma to drop bits of
roast turkey into our waiting mouths, followed by

more snoozing.

Well, it is Easter.

Oh, and here is a pic of us with our Aunty Lisa when she visited us last week.
We like Aunty Lisa.
She understands how important it is for us to keep up our strength with gravy bones.
A lesson we wish the Madwoman would take more notice of.

Busy, busy, busy!

It has been a busy week for us so far.

By Wednesday we were already having to snatch dognaps wherever we could.

See? We told you it was an enormous schnozzle
On Sunday we went to Bath to visit the Madwoman's horse.
He has a huge nose and ate all the carrots which we thought the Madwoman had packed as snacks for us. We're partial to a crunchy carrot. Or two.
Three is even better if a rare occurrence.

While there we checked out the Dog Friendly Garden.
Archie snooped around and chased a few tennis balls (as usual, the Madwoman hadn't packed his favourite ones - all tennis balls are equal, but some are more equal than others.)
You can read more about this over at the website HERE

Angel sulked for a bit as she wasn't allowed off the leash in case she squeezed through the gaps at the gate which she discovered. Our doggodmother Sarah Fisher wasn't there so we posed for a picture instead with Auntie Mags before having some (carrot free) lunch and heading home again.
Angel discovered this dustbin lid tethered to the fence.
Personally we prefer free range dustbins
Posing with nice Aunty Mags.
On Monday after we had done zoomies we pottered in the garden and supervised the Madwoman, who is trying to sort out our Grandma's borders. Important job, supervising. If we didn't keep the Madwoman's nose to the grindstone she'd be lolling around in the sun, getting nothing  done at all.

Seen one bluebell, you've seen them all.
Trust us on this.
On Tuesday it was off to the Chiltern Open Air Museum, where they were busy making Easter eggs out of wool, and to check on the progress of the bluebells.

On Wednesday we did zoomies in the paddocks and thought we were heading home for elevenses when the Madwoman unexpectedly took a detour and we found ourselves in the carpark at the vet's. We breathed a sigh of relief when it turned out we were only there to pick up Angel's meds and to have our monthly weigh-in.

Today, we're expecting yet more action in the shape of a visit from our Aunty Lisa Page. She says she is going to bring home-grown eggs - real ones you can eat rather than made out of wool. We like eggs. And our Aunty Lisa.

The Great Escape

We helped to foil an escape attempt by the
feisty sheep at the Chiltern Open Air Museum the other day.

This one (yes, that's a sheep. Blame the Madwoman's usual incompetence with a camera for it not being clearer) was standing on his back feet
and attempting to either push or eat his way through the hedge.
We're not sure which.

We gave him our very best Hard Stare
and he gave up.
Fearless unsung heroes, that's us.

A special delivery

A huge parcel from Barka Parka arrived recently for us.
What is it?

No idea. Let's just open it instead of
wasting time playing guessing games
Hmmm. A giant beanbag.
Needs test driving.
Stand aside, this is a job for me.
It's obviously a present for me.
You can make yourself comfy on the sofa instead.
Actually, it's mine.
All mine.
No, it's mine.
Look, I fit perfectly, so it must be.
Wanna bet?
Suppose there's room to share ...

Running sideways

We seem to have acquired a new talent,
thanks to the Madwoman's usual ineptidude with a camera.
Honestly, you'd think it wouldn't be too much to
expect her to be able to at least hold it
pointing the right way round wouldn't you?
But no.
So here we are, running sideways.
We suggest you lie down on the floor to watch it
so you don't get a crick in your neck.

Telling the seasons

Definitely Spring.
We have special ways in which we know this.
Firstly, we have been going out naked on our walks.

Secondly, it's been warm enough to do sunbathing in the garden.

No, my bum does NOT look big in this.

And thirdly, the Madwoman has got out our summer collars.
See, told you we had special ways of knowing these things.
