Here comes the ...

... sun ...
Or perhaps not.
Where's it gone?
It was here a moment ago.
Yes, it is all the fault of our Madwoman.
After a week of dry weather and blissful sunbathing, she decreed that
it was time for us to shed our Spring collars and don our Summer ones.
And the sun promptly disappeared.
We've even heard that there has been flooding on the farm where
the Madwoman's ginger pony lives.
But you know who to blame.
Pffffft

Prioritising

Sometimes you just have to prioritise.
After two days of chilly rainy stuff,
the weather was perfect for sunbathing this weekend,
so instead of blogging we made the most of it, while the Madwoman
toiled round the garden and allotment with the lawnmower.
After all that mowing, we did our bit for the garden,
helping to make it smell a bit better.

Can't beat the smell of a freshly sunbaked wippitt ...

Have you missed us?

Well we are back now, so you can stop pining.
Doing convalescing in my sick bed.
Although the bed wasn't really sick at all, so we don't know why
the Madwoman kept calling it that..
It's quite healthy.
And comfy.
Archie has spent some time convalescing and taking things easy:
according to the Madwoman, as well as doing some therapeutic
sunbathing, that also meant taking a short holiday from blogging.
Archie now seems fully recovered and today was our first Saturday
walk back at Chiltern Open Air Museum.

Our powers of observation are as keen as ever, and out in the woods
by the bodgers camp we found a bald snuffle mat. Sadly, as well as lacking
all its strips of fleece it was also sadly lacking in treats.
Then we said hello to the goats. It has given us an idea for a film project for
Kevin Costner called Walks with Goats. Or maybe something a bit spooky
called In the Company of Goats ... hmmm .... we haven't tried scriptwriting yet.
But we think that we could be really good at it.

A Wonky Holiday

We will be taking the rest of the week off from blogging, as Archie had A Bit of a Turn on Saturday. We had just arrived at Chiltern Open Air Museum when
he was stricken by Vestibular Syndrome.
He seems to be on the mend but we are taking things easy this week.
Thank you to all those who have sent get well wishes, and BIGGEST thank you off all to Team Straid - our lovely vet practice who leaped to the rescue!
 Convalescing.
