A Grand Day In

We are having an at-home day today as our chariot of delights got a puncture yesterday.
This means that the Madwoman won't drive it anywhere until the puncture on what is now the spare tyre is repaired on Monday. And means that if we aren't going out for a walk, then we keep her busy amusing us. So far this morning we have played Squeak the Bunny and Chase the Ball, followed by Ignore the Bunny and Ignore the Ball (too funny for words watching the Madwoman prance around the lawn with them trying to reignite our interest), then we had a pedicure (PFFFT) followed by grooming and a bit of snuffle mat foraging time ... we have just finished elevenses.
We have now retired to our beds for a quick nap while waiting to see what entertainments she is going to provide this afternoon.

A quiet weekend

We're having a quiet weekend.
A gentle stroll round Chiltern Open Air Museum, where
we found ...
The new goats.
This one is definitely a bit of a poser.

Some woolly thinking going on at the village green where a Big Knit or a Knitathon
or something is going on...

Actually, listening to the clicketty
click of knitting needles is oddly therapeutic and relaxing.
So much so we had to go home for some elevenses and a nap ...

The Great Escape

When you're one of the Three Wippiteers (the Madwoman is an honorary one)
adventure stalks you, and drama lurks round every corner ...

As we braved the rain to patrol round the Chiltern Open Air Museum this morning,
we came across two escaped wheelbarrows.
What to do? Reunite it with their companion, or release the one still trapped
in the field into the wild and a life of freedom?
It started to rain again while we were trying to decide, so we went home for a bite
of elevenses. Some things just can't be decided on an empty stomach.
