Bag a bargain!

We're supporters of Sighthounds Online - a small but lovely charity which helps out pointy nosed folk like us and our bigger relatives. They are about to have an online auction where you can bid for all sorts of goodies - bag yourself a bargain for Christmas as a gift for yourself or a friend or relative.
The Madwoman is donating a copy of Dog Friendly Gardening - we can both be seen between the pages, modelling in a variety of poses ...
Do visit the forum - and if you have anything (doesn't have to be doggy!) to donate yourself, that would be great!

Stalking

This morning we chased tennis balls and squeaky toy bunnies, then this afternoon we returned to the Chiltern Open Air Museum to do a bit of stalking - this time of the Horrible Histories cast. We ran them to ground eating their lunch (no, they didn't offer to share) and the Madwoman flourished a DVD under their noses and asked them to sign it. They kindly agreed - although we suspect that it was possibly to get her to go away so they could eat in peace and quiet ... Of course, it could also have had a lot to do with the fact that we looked our very cutest, and that the signed DVD is in aid of raising money for the Emergency Kennelling fund being organised by Sighthounds Online. This is to help those dogs in pounds which have only a seven-day stay before being euthanased find a place in emergency kennelling while a place in rescue kennels or a home is being sorted out for them. One of our predecessors, a big hairy person called Boris, was rescued on his last day by the Madwoman, so it's a fund raiser close to her heart. We think it's a pretty good idea too.
So please thank Horrible Histories and it's lovely cast, and please support Sighthounds Online -you can find out more at www.sighthoundsonline.org.uk - and keep an eye out there for details of how you can place a bid for the autographed DVD!

Posing

All this posing can be absolutely exhausting daaahling ... and even when you're taking a well-earned break you can find a camera being pushed in your face ...

We are wippitts of many skills ... as well as those you've already read about, you can add Posing For The Camera. This is something we've been doing much of lately - hence the paucity of recent blogs. We have been far too busy looking our very best while the Madwoman leaps around clutching a camera and excitedly squeaking things like "Hold it right there!" and "A little more to the left!" While this isn't too bad when you're enjoying a snooze, it's downright inconvenient when you're in mid roll on your back, scratching that itchy place ... Mind you, this posing stuff does have it's good points - plenty of bribery in the form of treats, although we feel it's about time the Madwoman got that last piece of liver bread out of the freezer and started dishing it out.

What's it all in aid of? We did think it might be because the Madwoman is working on a new dog book, but it turns out she's entering us in an online dog show. It's certainly a lot less stressful than going to a real one, so we suppose we should be grateful. If you would like your own Madperson to enter you, then jog over to http://www.sighthoundsonline.org.uk/ where you can check out the rules. It's all in a good cause, although we're hoping we don't win - we believe the prize is a portrait, which would no doubt mean yet more posing ...
