A Bank Holiday Outing

Thanks to everyone who sympathised with Archie's poorly paw.
It's healing nicely.
But back to wearing the little red booty to keep it clean.

Because it's a bit boring for him having to stay on the leash, the Madwoman
took us to Chiltern Open Air Museum to see some Roman gladiators.

She has odd ideas about what we might find entertaining.
Possibly a Health & Safety meeting.
Acres of  rippling flesh was on display.

For a horrible moment we thought there was going to be a karaoke.
Thankfully, not. You really don't want to hear the Madwoman's singing.
This turned out to be our host for the day,
a Shouty Roman.
We kept our eye on the action and learned a few things, like:

Strut your stuff!

Unless of course you see someone coming who is bigger and
fiercer than you, in which case hide behind someone else.

Always keep an eye on what's going on behind you.

Told you!

Kick 'em while they're down

And we discovered what Romans wear under their frocks! (So next time you spot a Roman, you can try shouting
"Ostendere bracis nobis!")

The Romans are still there today, so you can still see them
if you get a move on!
