Masters of disguise 4

At last!
A disguise that is really useful!
Would you like your fortune told?
Just cross my paws with silver.
Or gravy bones.

Masters of disguise 3

There is no end to our mastery of the art of
illusion and camouflage.
Okay, maybe this one needs a little more work.
But you were nearly fooled, weren't you?

Masters of disguise 2

Here's another one of our camouflages.
Good, isn't it?
Still haven't worked out a use for it though.

Masters of disguise

We have honed the art of camouflage to perfection.

Look closely and you'll spot a wippitt!

All we have to do now is work out a use for it.

Cover stars

Well, we were cover stars for a while.
On the left you can see us in our garden lounger, doing a bit of sunbathing in the garden. We did feel our picture ought to be a bit bigger, but at least we were on the front.
Now the latest cover has appeared.
The Madwoman says she likes the green colour better as it doesn't make her eyes water when she looks at it now (it doesn't make much difference to us as like all dogs, we're red/green colour blind)
But where, we would like to know, is OUR picture?

How stuff works

We have enquiring minds, so it was purely in the spirit of furthering scientific knowledge rather than wanton destruction and vandalism, that Archie took apart the loofah cow to find out how it works.

Unfortunately the Madwoman removed it before he'd gotten to either the bottom of the mystery or the end of the stuffing, so it looks like we'll have to wait for another opportunity on another day to continue our research.

In the meantime, the loofah cow has received emergency surgery and the Madwoman says it will be just fine.

All dressed up and nowhere to go

Angel looking fetching in a polo shirt

Angel got a hole in her side yesterday and had to go to the vet to get it stitched up. It's only a little perforation, but did need the stitch. It's the price we pay for being so beautiful - rice paper thin skin that snags and tears easily.

So, dosed up with Arnica we went to the vet's where Angel was given a local anaesthetic and then had a mattress stitch inserted. Throughout the whole thing she never said a word, but did look like she was sucking on a lemon.

She is now dressed in a Polo shirt of the Madwoman's to help keep her from nibbling at the stitch. And reclining a la Elizabeth Barrett on the sofa awaiting treats and visiting well wishers.

Especially treats.

Snow!

After days of Spring-like sunshine it suddenly started snowing.

We bravely put our coats on and ventured outside ...

Cold! Very cold! It's not funny! Let us back in!

Now this IS funny. An action shot taken by the Madwoman as her feet flew up in the air and she landed flat on her back in one of those classic comedy falls. A bit of karma. That will teach her to let us back in more promptly!

We're famous!

Yep, that's us alright!

It has been perfect wippitt weather this week - we have filled it with running in the nuddy and soaking up the sun.

Today it's gone a bit showery, so each time the sun sneaks behind a cloud we are forced to bask in the fame of appearing in a magazine instead.

It's not as good as sunshine, but it is next to the radiator.

(If anyone wants to rush out to buy a copy, it's the April issue of Your Dog magazine. We'll be happy to pawprint it in return for a treat or too)
